Introducing Indonesian Studies
What is Indonesian Studies?
Indonesian studies is a multi-disciplinary course with roots in language, culture, politics, history, geography and civics. Most aspects of modern Indonesia are probably suitable areas of study for Indonesian Studies. While Indonesian Studies has been a university level subject up until now, the resources on this page are aimed at the secondary level.
How do I begin to introduce Indonesian Studies in my school?
One possible starting point out of many, is this draft syllabus we put together aimed at the 14-16 year old age group but easily adaptable both for younger children and older. It was made in the style of Cambridge IGCSE. It is completely free to be used by anyone as are all the resources on this site under the Creative Commons tag on the about page.
